We are ready for monday's PPP session and we have settled with a name - Asssk. We started by thinking of a studio name. After deciding on Asssk we started creating the logo. Asssk derives from our initials Abbas, Sam, Sam, Seb.
Seb digitalised the logo in Illustrator and I think it looks really professional.
The neat thing about this logo is that it is a, when it is flipped around it looks exactly the s ambigram ame!
We have just started to give the studio an identity across a range of media including a letterhead, mock website ideas, business card and other stationary. We have completed the e-flyer task also and we are ready to propose Asssk, the branding and communication agency.
Here you can see the logo on the e-flyer. We decided the e-flyer was going to be animated in a way which made it appear to unfold. The good thing about the digital e-flyer is that it could potentially go viral and maybe get re-blogged though social networking sites, blog and design inspiration websites.
Sam mocked up some layouts:
We felt the mixture of serif with sans-serif worked really well, as did the salmon light pink colour scheme. It felt our business model of being clean but also contemporary well. We sketched out some ideas for the animated e-flyer and I went away and worked on the e-flyer
The e-flyer:
Our target audience is businesses in the tertiary sector. Asssk is a branding and communication agency. We wanted to appeal to the normal business and not alienate them with design that is current and unfamiliar to the normal, non-graphic business owner. We still wanted to show that we have fresh ideas being graduates and that we produce creative exciting work. There is a fine balance to getting the identity right.
We can send this e-flyer out in emails, and possibly even print the flyer for real.
The idea behind asssk is we make everyone who comes to us look good throughout a variety of media, big company or small company, jussst asssk.
Online presence:
Giving ourselves some sort of online presence is obviously very important, we decided to create a Behance account for Asssk along with a twitter page, email address and online domain name.
Our online domain is http://www.asssk.us and out email address is info@asssk.us
We can add work to the Behance and twitter page as we go along, we plan to treat the opportunity to brand ourselves as one of our first projects and post this to Behance when we've done this. It will help us get out there and hopefully allow people to see the foundations of an exciting studio that people begin to follow.

Sam created this issuu e-book with our brand, what we are about and our contact info on so that we can try and use it as a way of getting out name out there.
