The info graphic shows how someone would generally use the Seven Steps research method. Moving from S1 to S2 which overlaps with S3, because by looking at past work that has been created may inform your approach so they are tied together in my mind.
From S3 you move to S4, if you can't find the data for some reason you may have to move back to S3 and looked again at your approach. If you manage to collect the data you will move to S5 only moving to S6 if you manage to analyse the data, for some reason you may not able to analyse it so again you would move back a step to S5.
If you discuss your findings and find that there is something of interest to say then you move to S7 - Presenting findings.
