JP Business Cards //Communication is a Virus.

Tuesday we discussed the possibilities about trying to emboss, I was pretty sure it was possible so we decided to book a laser cutting slot. We purchased stock for printing the business card which was water colour paper and we also got the thin MDF (3 mm).

Embossing - here you can see the technique we used for embossing the card. We started off by putting one card under the press with tracing paper as a bed and cover protector. This wasn't giving us enough depth. This is when we discovered the pressing mats!

We pressed a few more one by one but then I thought it would be a better idea to create a small grid and line up the type. Which meant we could press two at a time or even four if we had wished with a little more ease.

Very handmade set up. I think the fact that its hand made kind of fits the concept of the juice purses. Handmade trying something new; being creative.
